Sunset Valley Farm (SVF) is an equestrian center in Chester County, PA, featuring a beautiful property that includes:
  • 48 Acre Farm with Lush Turnout Pastures
  • 13 Stall bank barn
  • 2 Riding Rings
  • Picnic/Party Outdoor Pavillion
  • Recreational Trails
Please note that we’re not a show barn. Instead, we’re a top-notch facility with well-trained horses and ponies that we treat like family members. We also have a professional staff who’ve been with us for many years. They’ll teach you the language horses use so you can experience a better way of connecting with these beautiful creatures. Aside from these, we host fun events throughout the year that are open to everyone.

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR Summer Camp Program!

Your kids will love our summer horseback riding camp, which runs for eight weeks and offers in-depth riding and horsemanship instruction. Students may sign up for one week at a time or for the full season. Our camp is located in beautiful West Chester, PA, and we welcome participants from nearby communities.

At SVF, our care philosophy is founded on customization, consistency, and communication. As such, we personalize our horse boarding services to address you and your horse’s specific needs. You can choose from a full board, partial board, or full-field board.
The horses under our care are at their happiest when they consistently eat nutritious food and maintain active routines. In line with this, we customize their feed depending on their breed and the amount of work they do. Their food is never changed unless requested by their owners, and all their hay comes from a single farmer. We also turn our horses out at the same time every day.
Don’t hesitate to contact us with any special requests. We believe that good communication is essential when caring for horses.

Riding Instruction

SVF also offers private horseback riding lessons for adults and children. Our instructors give students plenty of individual attention, and there are never more than three instructors in a ring or four students in any lesson. For beginners, lessons focus on balanced riding, while more advanced students learn equitation, hunt seat, and jumping. We even offer 15-minute private lessons for children as young as 5. Here, students ride mini ponies and learn about safety, grooming, and tacking.
